Day 4

After two hitches, we got back the trail, at mid day. As we climbed to 11,000ft we walked through beautiful forests of Aspen trees growing in delicate grass and lavender flowers. After the climb we stepped into a lush green meadow, sparkling with silver drops of rain. The magic was diminished a little when we started walking in cow manure, apparently the valleys a grazing area.
Extremely exhausted from our climb, with no oxygen, we stumbled to a campsite free on cattle poop. Tonight’s the coldest night so far, and I’m so glad, finally I can sleep in my sleeping bag. While setting up Ram realized he didn’t have his sleeping pad! :,( He’s pretty sure he left it at the hostel. I feel so bad. He’s planning on sleeping on the ground for the next three nights :(. Ouch.
